A cool find, I made. Rocket Girl, I've got a souvenir for you!
You see these all over SLO, San Luis Obispo County.
Even provide the bag!
This darling barista was very kind and efficient making and serving coffee. She "won" a Kat bead. : )
Bucky, our volunteer bike guide from earlier in the walk, showed up on Alison's iPad. Now, that's magic!
We've developed a rhythm to the day. Up at 6 a.m. Meeting. Walking by about 8:30 a.m.
Hannah (who we met the day before at the picnic) surprised us with coffee on Day 20; she then took our picture. Mahalo!
Michael was our designated leader on Day 20.
We left Morro State Beach Park at 8:50 a.m. with Ryan and Alison doing their PR thang.
We were laughing because that's our camp site right there. We'd made a large loop (I think because it looked better for the video : ).
Michael did a great job leading us on Day 20.
We passed a harbor with lots of sail boats.
Butch kept track of our route.
Okay, this way!
Raja's orange hat has become one of our icons. : )
We received a wave, and Michael waved back!
Ryan showed up to give us the heads up . . .
Liked this mail box. : )
So THAT's where MoneyPenny lives!
We were in a a fairly remote area. Believe it or not, there are MANY remote areas in California!
This Mt. reminded me of Haupu Ridge on Kauai. It took was a constant sight during our walk (like when sailing to Kauai from Oahu).
Michael was figuring out how to get around this big piece of equipment.
When it kindly pulled over and let us by. Thanks Mr. Tractor man!
We had to cross the highway . . .
Where we saw Ryan again . . . this was when he gave us a heads up . . .
Butch's Trademark Grin. : )
What Ryan was letting us know to expect . . . he's going to make a feature film from all this footage.
Butch gave this guy a Walk for ASL postcard; he cheered us on. : )
They decided they wanted to stop at the San Luis Obispo Board of Education.
Do you have Deaf Education Raja and Karen asked.
Yes, she replied. Communication wasn't easy, but she was certainly willing to try! Michael videotaped it.
And then we were back at it!
And then we were there! At El Chorro Regional Park. It was a pretty quick 10-miles.
Michael seemed happy that all had gone well on his watch.
And Sj got her tent set up and was ready to go to town. : )
Rachel, Chris, and Caroline set up the "kitchen and dining area" every day.
A nice lunch of avo wraps.
I spent several pleasant hours here posting the photos from Days 12, 13, and 14.
Bello Mundo, it was a beautful world there for me that afternoon. : )
I think the right name for this camp would be El Chemtrail . . .
El Chemtrails Regional Park
Dinner time!
