Day 10 of our Walk for ASL began with JOY running around crazy. : ) It was so awesome and heartwarming to see!
He ran and ran and ran as we left Brighton Beach State Park.
Past houses that look like they belong in France!
The rest of us continued on in our now-standard steadforth way . . .
"Wow! That was fun!!!"
Look Mom, I didn't get my feet wet!
What is it about old rusty boats?
Surprise, surprise! Gina's joining us for the day!!! And not behind the wheel of a car. : )
That's where we were passing through . . . Rio del Mar.
Good idea!
We left the beach and started walking through neighborhoods.
Someone playful lives here!
Single file everyone!
Looked for a train but never saw one.
In lieu of Bucky, we were doing our best with Nancy's iPad, or iBuck, I liked to call it. But it sure didn't have the warm personality and energy like the real Bucky!
Poor Gina was yelling for me to get everyone to STOP. I've literally done my best to "turn off my ears" and tune out sounds. She must have yelled herself silly before I caught on! (So sorry Gina!!!)
Conferring . . .
Farms, farm everywhere . . .
See?
Sharon's unstoppable!
Just in case you were wondering where we were . . .
We were surrounded by farms and quiet.
The quiet I can't show, but the farms I can!
Found a trash bag blowing in the wind. Caught it and filled it too quickly with . . .
Yahoo! Sunset State Beach!
Nice to be met with a hug. : )
Nature's Art Gallery(R)
Carol, another unstoppable ball of energy (and hugs : ) !!!
We made it; we're in Sunset State Beach Park.
Is this California or Tennessee?
California.
Thinking of you, Dwight.
But wait, what's this about another mile just to get to the campsite???
Dunes or Pine Hollow?
Pine Hollow.
Ahhhhhh. Time for a nap!
Joy agrees!
And then time to visit and rest ALL the dawgs/dogs.
After a nap, I went exploring and found the beach. BUT what I mostly did was play with my new camera. See what I see?
Three in a row . . .
I returned to find everyone playing with their visual interpretation of sign (what would sign look like written?) . . . the wavy curve represents Rachel. Her name sign is a wide open hand "combing" down the side of one's head (to represent her wavy hair).
And then it was time for bed. Sigh . . . .
Slide show works… I like it!
Thanks for the feedback!
