Wilson!
Gina and Wilson are pals.
All eyes on me!
You've got our attention!
Day 16 started with a car ride for ALL!
First stop? Coffee! : )
Karen and hubby, Joe. He visited for a few days.
Ryan and Sharon yucking it up.
The fearless four began their journey . . .
Raja's a great walk . . . and she has her own company, Deafhood Yoga. Check it out!
And then, before I knew it; we were in the car with Gina again!
But . . . it was decided that we could walk even though there was no shoulder. Gina drove right behind us the entire way!
See the shoulderless road?
This area reminded me of Maui.
Okay, which mile marker did we start at?
Oh, that's not far; only 6-miles to San Simeon . . . town, NOT the state park. : )
A fellow traveler.
Kat, the flowers are still around!
Just in case we forget which highway we were on.
Saw the lighthouse from a distance. Didn't go in for a visit. I don't think it was open to the public anyway.
Fences make good neighbors.
And this is a community of over 1,700 Elephant Seals!
They were barking like dogs.
Maybe they're weeds, but they're definitely yellow! ASL WALK colors!
Can you see its special nose?
We stopped for a lunch break and these two guys were duking it out over the leftovers!
Kitesurfing! It looked like they had armor on!
See the snake?
We were ALL checking it out . . . from far, far away!
Sharon keeps on trucking!
Hearst Castle on the hill.
So close . . . and yet so far . . .
They came over for a chat.
We stopped at the wine tasting place . . . didn't have any wine, but found out we still had a ways to go!
Just in case you're wondering how much further LA is!
Do you see the zebras?
Maybe now you can.
As difficult as this day was for me, it was one of my favorites in terms of the scenery.
Eye candy California style
Ahhhhh! Only 1/2 a mile to the park! : )
That's how I was feeling . . . ghostly!
We made it! Yahoo!
Home sweet home for the night. : )Aloha!
